The aircraft can carry up to eight air-to-air missiles or air-to-ground ordinance including bombs, rockets and missiles. The aircraft is a supersonic multirole VTOL fighter, and flies from the Saltwater Navy's Trieste-class LHDs and Cavour-class aircraft carriers, providing air defence and close air support for ground forces. The AV-19 Peregrine II was developed by SMC Aerospace for the Saltwater Air Force.
